Francesco Bartoli

Francesco Bartoli works with us through the Flanders’ AI research program, starting from 2025. His PhD research is delving into the development of novel spatio-temporal models lying at the intersection of statistics and machine learning. Furthermore, sampling design strategies will be considered that are tailored for such models.

In his free time, Francesco likes to read books (favouring fantasy and mystery) and discover Asian cultures through travelling.

Experience

Before joining BIOSTAT, Francesco worked as a data scientist with a consultancy firm in Italy where he worked with several advanced machine learning models and datawarehouse software.
