The members of BIOSTAT share an interest in statistical research that is triggered by and fitted to applications in the bioscience engineering field. For doing so we closely collaborate with engineers at the faculty of bioscience engineering, research institutes and industry. We are part of the department of data analysis and mathematical modelling. Our research deals with the statistical modelling of temporal and spatio-temporal data taking into account the complex relationships that can exist within such data. A particular interest goes to environmental applications such as the study of climate and biodiversity among others. A poster about our research can be found here.
