Qing Yu started in 2024 as a PhD student, funded with a CSC scholarschip and supported by a UGent special research fund. Her PhD research is delving into the spatio-temporal misteries of extremes where we aim to extend Bayesian hierarchical strategies for their application with generalized extreme value distributions.
In her leisure time, Qing enjoys playing musical instruments, particularly the piano and flute, with a special fondness for Mozart and Chopin.
Experience
During her studies Qing Yu was awarded several incentive scholarships at Beijing Normal University. Besides, she did several internships in data analysis companies.
