Rutendo Musimwa is with us through a BOF doctoral grant from UGent with a Blue Growth label.
During her PhD, she will study the effect of climate change and extreme events on jellyfish blooms in the North Sea through statistical and mechanistic modelling.
Experience
Rutendo is a marine biologist interested in ecological modelling. Previously, she held a research position at VLIZ (Vlaams instituut voor de Zee).
During her studies in Zimbabwe she recieved the University Book Prize in recognition of her outstanding grades and overall academic excellence at Chinhoyi University of Technology.
