Ajmal Muhammad is a PhD student funded through a HEC grant awarded by the Higher Education commission of Pakistan (2021). His research is centered around the problem of acceptance sampling in the field of statistical quality control and deals with the adaption of Bayesian statistics for sampling design.

Previously Ajmal held a lecturer position at the University of Baltistan, Skardu where he thaught several courses in statistics.
